Alex Hormozi is known for his expertise in customer acquisition and monetization. He's also known for his down-to-earth style and wisdom that he openly shares with people who want to make a difference in the world. I resonated with much of what he had to say, so I wanted to share some of his insights with you.
Alex is a managing partner at Acquisition.com. His company helps scale founder-led companies to $100M+. He is also known for donating much of his free time to advancing equal access to education and encouraging entrepreneurship in underprivileged communities.
14 Life Lessons I Wish I Knew Earlier
I listened to a few of Alex Hormozi’s YouTube and he had some great points that I wish I would have learned earlier in life.

1. You make better decisions and learn more by assuming you are dumber thank everyone else.
2. The hardest respect to earn is one's own.
3. If you want to control what people think, control what they say
4. You get more out of reading 1 book that's great 5 times, than out of reading 5 mediocore books.
5. Most champions do not have something that you do not. They lack something that you have - a different thought process.
6. Good will compounds faster than money
7. You are going to die. How much credibility or weight should we give to other people's opinions on what we should do with our lives?

Life Lesson #1 - Delegation Is Key
One of the biggest mistakes that entrepreneurs make is thinking that they have to do everything themselves. According to Hormozi, this is the quickest way to spread yourself too thin and eventually lead to burnout.
"If you want to scale your business, you have to learn how to delegate," says Hormozi. "You can't do everything yourself,"
Hormozi recommends finding a team of people you trust and delegating tasks accordingly. This will free up your time so you can focus on more important tasks, like growing your business.
Life Lesson #2 - You Don't Need To Be An Expert To Succeed
One of the biggest myths in business is that you need to be an expert to be successful. This simply isn't true, according to Hormozi.
"You don't need to be an expert to succeed," says Hormozi. "You just need to be passionate about what you're doing and be willing to learn."
This doesn't mean that you should never seek out help from experts. However, it does mean that you don't need years of experience to be successful in business. Passion and a willingness to learn will get you much farther than experience ever will.

Life Lesson #3 - You Don't Need A Lot Of Money To Start A Business
Another common myth is that you need a lot of money to start a successful business. This simply isn't true, according to Hormozi. He says that many of the most successful businesses are started with very little money.
"You don't need a lot of money to start a successful business," says Hormozi "The truth is, many of the most successful businesses are started with very little money." All you need is a great idea and the determination to see it through. And once you've found success, don't forget to give back and help others achieve their dreams. The rest will fall into place if you have what it takes to succeed.
